*Registry and Tissue Banking Study of Patients Undergoing HCT, SOT, or with Autoimmune Disease

Hematopoietic Graft Engineering: Pre-clinical Studies of Immunocompetence

Protocol Description

Through this protocol, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh researchers will collect clinical information, blood samples, and tissue samples from patients who will undergo or have undergone a hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT), a solid organ transplant (SOT), or who have an autoimmune disease or other immune disorder. Tissue banking studies such as this help researchers to better understand medical conditions and how different people respond to treatments. In this study, researchers will focus on cells that may be responsible for fighting infections, causing graft-versus-host disease in HCT, and organ rejection in SOT.

Eligibility Criteria

Subject to certain exclusion criteria, this study is enrolling participants, ages 2 months and older who may be receiving a bone marrow or other transplant.
Males and Females: Ages 2 months and older

Requirements

With consent, de-identified medical record information of participants will be entered into the study database. In most cases, blood and tissue samples will be collected for the database when these biologic samples are collected as part of normal care for the various studied conditions.
Visits: None beyond normal clinical care for the condition
Duration: Medical record information will be updated as long as participants remain in study.

Status: Open to Enrollment
